my GP is an amateur podiatrist

my new GP yesterday confused me. I went in to get a referral to an Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in HR/ HL, however left there with a pair of home-made kinesiology shoe inserts which he assured me will solve all my problems and fix my foot muscles. It reminded me of the scene in the 70's film Rosemary's Baby (which I happened to see again the other night), where she is telling her woes to her Doctor, he tells her to rest and lie down, then returns with the enemy!
